Welcome to the Ashford & District 5-A-Side Football League official website!

OUR HISTORY

Ashford's first 5-A-Side Football League started in 1975/76 held at the Stour Centre and run by them with the help of Ray Knowler and John Fenning.

The Stour Centre continued running the league until 1978/79 after which the Ashford & District Sunday League took over until the end of the 1982/83 season.

It was in 1983 that the current league was founded by John Fenning (Chairman) & Ray Knowler (Secretary).

Since 1983 the league has grown rapidly and consisted of 3 Wednesday divisions & a Monday division until 2008, when the league were forced to change the Venue from the Stour Centre to the North School in Essella Road, Ashford. This meant that the league had no option but to disband its Monday division.

Despite many setbacks along the way the league is still thriving today thanks to the commitment of our dedicated committee still lead by John and Ray.
